Chapter 1

Flowerstem looked around the nursery.

Flamepaw padded over, "Hi Flowerstem! Any fresh kill I can get for you?" He mewed with a smirk on his face. He licked his paw quickly.

"No, i'm fine. So I hear you and Leopardpaw are a 'thing', is that true?" She mewed.

His face went blank, "Uh, uh..." He looked around, "Who's been saying that?!"

"Pretty much everyone in the clan." She mewed.

He froze, "What! Really?!" He stomped off and into his den to pout.

What does Leopardpaw see in him?!

She got up from her nest and tried to pad out of the nursery. Bluewing got in front of her, "Where do you think you're going?!"

"To take a walk." She murmered.

Bluewing rolled her eyes, "You know you can't do that. You could be having your kits any day now, any hour now for StarClan sake!"

"Fine, then you come with me."

She thought to herself for a moment, "Well....I g-guess that would be ok."

She smirked and nodded, "Alright." She slowly padded out of the nursery and into the clearing. She sighed when her mate, Bluemask padded up. He was staying the camp until the kits became apprentices even though he was deputy.

"Hi Flowerstem!" He licked her ear affectionately.

"Oh, hi Bluemask. If you don't mind...Bluewing and I are going on a walk."

"Alright. Wait, what?! You're going into the forest! A badger or something could kill you and the kits!"

Bluewing stuck her tongue out.

"Oh, yeah. Bluewing too." He mewed.

She looked at her mate, "Bluemask, relax. Bluewing's there to protect me."

"Well i'm coming too."

She rolled her eyes, "Fine..."
